Thelma D. Jones Breast Cancer Fund celebrates the 16th Anniversary of the Founding of the Thelma D. Jones Breast Cancer Fund Support Group on Wednesday, April 17, 2026, at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, 555 Water Street, SW, Washington, DC 20024. Guest Speaker will be Lucile Adams-Campbell, PhD, Professor of Oncology, Founding Director, Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention, Senior Associate Dean, Community Outreach and Engagement, Associate Director, Minority Health & Health Disparities Research, Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Georgetown University. Dr. Adams-Campbell is recognized as the first African American woman to earn a PhD in epidemiology in the United States, achieving this milestone in 1983 from the University of Pittsburg. Topic of discussion will be clinical trials.
