She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Old Dominion University and a Master of Business Administration from Liberty University. She is married to her college sweetheart Johnnie, an active duty Army Officer and a loving mother to her three children, Alaina, Raina, and Johnnie IV.

Brea enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, cooking and traveling. She is a world traveler and has lived in South Korea and Hawaii, climbed the Great Wall of China, and has vacationed in the Philippines and Jamaica just to name a few. Her passion for travel is ingrained in her children and she strives to give them every opportunity to experience different cultures.

In April of 2020, during her pregnancy with Johnnie IV, she began experiencing symptoms that were treated as mastitis. In September 2020, after numerous rounds of antibiotics, she was diagnosed with Stage IV invasive ductal carcinoma which had metastasized to other parts of her body.
