Together, we can make a life-saving difference. The Thelma D. Jones Breast Cancer Fund (TDJBCF) is committed to reducing breast cancer disparities and saving lives. Black women are 40% more likely to die from breast cancer than white women—and twice as likely if diagnosed under age 50. Your gift, no matter the size, helps us expand advocacy, education, and support in the communities that need it most.

Dear Donor,
Thank you for helping the Thelma D. Jones Breast Cancer Fund (TDJBCF) in raising over $10,000 during Giving Tuesday. Your generous donations will help with an unprecedented increase in requests for our financial toxicity assistance program, educational programming, especially in our local schools, and our overall operating expenses as an all-volunteer nonprofit grassroots organization. Our 2025 Birthday Goal of $30,000 is achievable with your support.
The TDJBCF is committed to reducing breast cancer disparities and saving lives. Black women are 40% more likely to die from breast cancer than white women—and twice as likely if diagnosed under age 50. Your gift, no matter the size, helps us expand advocacy, education, and support in the communities that it needs it most. Headquartered in Southwest Washington, DC our grassroots organization is faced with a community that has the largest concentration of public housing in our nation’s capital. Your donation will help to ensure we continue to serve our community as well as other communities in need.
Every day, someone in our community faces an insurmountable challenge they cannot overcome alone. A survivor struggling to pay her rent, purchase her prescription, or keep her utilities on. A senior who feels forgotten and isolated and in need of company with a smiling face and nourishing meals. A young lady who needs a mammogram and support to help her schedule her first appointment or follow up appointment.
Your compassion can change that.
When you give, you do more than provide assistance—you help the TDJBCF offer hope. You remind someone that they are not alone, that kindness still exists, and that together, we can create a world where everyone has a chance to thrive.
This season, we invite you to join us in making a difference and reaching our goal. Your gift—whether large or small—will help provide essential support to those who need it most. Every dollar brings us closer to transforming lives and building a stronger, more caring community.
Please, take a moment today to make your contribution. It’s not just a donation—it’s a lifeline, a message of love, and a promise of a better tomorrow.
